Hi, My Name is Graham Saville Callsign G1RNZ. I have been interested in Radio since I was five years old. I was fascinated by the wonderful sounds that came out of my parents old valve radio when it was not tuned to a station! When at school I was introduced to a Captain of a Cruise ship who told us that we could hear ships talking to shore stations on the SW bands, I spent many hours trying but never did hear them but did hear some AM Radio amateurs. My interest continued and in 1984 I started the RAE course at evening classes at Dacorum Collage in Hemel Hempstead and became licensed in 1985, However did not become active in Amateur Radio until the early 1990's when I purchased my first second hand 2m radio (IC240) from the Woburn rally. I joined the Milton Keynes Amateur Radio Society and have been on the Committee with them. I became interested in packet radio and ran a local node, My interests now are with the HF data modes (PSK RTTY) but still enjoy a ragchew on phone.
